Hi,
My name is Leila Samoodi and I am the CEO and Founder of Peak Virtual Accounting. Before telling you my story, I would like to tell you a little about who I am. I have been a CPA since 2002 but started my career in 1999 with the infamous Arthur Andersen, as an Intern, while I was finishing my accounting degree at USC. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 from USC.
After Andersen soon dissolved, my career took me to Deloitte for a few years. After Deloitte, I ventured into the corporate world as most former Big 4 employees do. I was a CFO for over 4 years until 2009 when I decided to go off on my own and become an entrepreneur. I have always been passionate for business and even more passionate for helping other businesses become successful.
As you may know yourself, a large number of small to medium size businesses have a very poor accounting foundation, which ultimately limits their growth and does not allow them to truly focus on what they do best. They are bogged down with their accounting, taxes or simply not doing them at all which doesn’t allow them to make the best financial management decisions as they lack the quality information to do so.
My point of saying this reality is that I set my mission to help these businesses with the same high quality service that a large expensive firm would provide but at a much more affordable price. I no longer wanted businesses to be afraid of doing their accounting properly just because of it costing too much.
To achieve this, I needed to set up a strong Virtual Accounting model which would allow me to outsource the data entry part of the business as well as to put together all the necessary virtual tools so that I could reach clients without them having to drive to my office. It took me approximately 6 months of hard work and hundreds hours of research to figure out the exact and best model to use, which I have successfully done so.
At the end of the day, I am able to give my clients a high quality solution to their accounting needs at a fraction of the price while my gross margins are significantly larger than the old fashion accounting businesses model. It is interesting that although my office is in Irvine CA, Most of my clients are in other states.
Also to be able to deliver high-end quality tools and services on virtual platforms, I have teamed up with a brilliant group of IT specialists (www.maximumbit.com ) who are Citrix and Microsoft certified and have helped me take my business model to the next level.
After receiving many warm emails from clients about how happy they are with our services, this made me think of how many CPAs, accountants and bookkeepers are out there doing their business in the old fashion way but could do business in the same way that I’m doing.
I have always been passionate about teaching and helping others succeed and it would give me even more intense pleasure to teach the tools and tricks that I have worked very hard to put together to my fellow accountants, CPAs and bookkeepers.
